Can-Do-Ability: Answers and Solutions from my personal experiences of living with a disability

The Great Disability Scam

5 Mar 2013You can see it happening: The great Disability Scam will happen in Australia if we don't keep then honest.

It goes something like this: A shiny new tender to help disabled people gain employment, the promise to pass them on to other services if need be. Turns into: it is too hard to get this person employment and handing them onto a service that can help them will loose us money. The merry-go-round continues and those that want to work are not helped.

The following links uncover what is happening in the UK:

Not a good outcome at all for those needing help in the UK. If this is the result of what has happened in the UK and Australia following suite in letting the bigger providers take over from the specialist services - are we also doomed?

The predicTA-BLE, ineviTA-BLE result of allowing people with no experience of the issues around disability decide policy. Australia's recent purchasing process was handled properly (this is important to say because otherwise Government thinks you are criticising) and completely without thought to the impact on existing workers and jobseekers and with no reference to employers wishes or needs. The tragic results that have already been reported will increase as we blindly follow the lead of the people who CR-EATEd the environment described in this documentary. The lack of leadership and thought for this vital program is incomprehensible and unforgivable
