Can-Do-Ability: Answers and Solutions from my personal experiences of living with a disability

13 Oct 2010A fellow brittle bones sufferer, who lives in Canada, was recently featured in a story that appeared on Montreal's CTV (a Canadian news television station).

The name of my “Facebook friend” is Natalie Cinman, she's a 27 year old who's been working alongside staff at the Montreal Shriners Hospital, campaigning to help keep it open.

CTV wanted to do a story about the great work Natalie has done, you can view her story here - http – they also lightly cover her romance with her beau, Denis.

Natalie and Denis were married in August this year, which I have been following very closely with anticipation ever since I became friends with Natalie. As some of you may know, I am also getting married next year, so to see someone who is in the same situation as me (and pretty much my height) get married, it was very exciting for me to see how her day unfolded.

The couple, who has been together for 5 years, married in a church ceremony, followed by a reception where they partied and danced the night away with family and friends. They honeymooned in Jamaica for over a week, even being upgraded to a fancy room that included a butler!

Natalie and Denis are enjoying married life together now, and I'm sure they are relieved that all the stressful planning of a wedding is over, now they have memories to look back at forever and cherish.

Natalie also has her own blog, to view it, click here - http://nataliecinman.blogspot.com/ - it follows her life, work, her achievements and all the action leading up to her beautiful wedding. A big congratulations from me to the both of you!!!

Since my wedding is so far away, (not till November next year) I haven't written much about it, but as it gets closer, I will be updating you all on everything, as I am finding that planning a wedding in a wheelchair, isn't as easy as one would think! Stay tuned...
