Show Your Support For Disability Sports!4 Mar 2011
Do you wish you could play rugby league but feel limited because you’re in a wheelchair? Have you considered joining up with the New South Wales Wheelchair Rugby League Inc.?
New South Wales Wheelchair Rugby League Inc. was formed as a non-for-profit sporting organization for people with disabilities
There are more than one type of wheelchair rugby league; International Tag Wheelchair Rugby League and Local Touch. New South Wales Wheelchair Rugby League Inc. has the hopes to eventually host competitions for both forms of wheelchair rugby league.
Their mission is to provide a balanced and fair wheelchair rugby league competition using the International Tag Wheelchair Rugby League rules and format.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in, consider joining the team and signing up for a membership today, or if you know someone with a disability
who would benefit from some great socialization with people who understand what it’s like to be in their shoes (or wheels), please let them know about this great organization today.
You can get more information on their website: http://www.nswwrl.com.au/index.html
With the next season starting in September this year, there’s plenty of time to get those wheels into shape and get in on the competition action!
Tomorrow, Saturday 5th March at 2:30, is when the current seasons New South Wales Wheelchair Rugby League grand final will kick off, it’s at Kevin Betts Stadium, Mount Druitt. I have attached the flyer below for you to check out.
Go along and support them! It’s all starts off at 1:30pm with a BBQ lunch, contact [email protected]
