Mastering your home blindly
29 Jul 2014:
Nicole C. Kear is the author of a forthcoming memoir called “Now I See You”. The New York times posted a snippet of the book that you can read here:
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/19/garden/mastering-a-collision-course-called-home.html I found the article quite ‘eye opening' (pardon the pun!). the fact that Nicole struggled on her own for so long is very frustrating.
Then the way that Ms. Quinones was able to help Nicole navigate her home, make a few changes to how her house ran, clutter free, was able to introduce new products that were helpful, and suggest that plastic cups were used instead of glass helped Nicole gain freedom and comfort in her own home again!
I find that my home needs to be clutter free and spacious in order to be able to move around freely in my home. I often need to think very hard before buying any furniture in order to make sure it won't get in the way. I unfortunately made the mistake of buying too much outdoor furniture and so now my back verandah is a bit of a frustrating maze – oops!
