Little improvement on disabled job prospects in decades

It is well known that people with disabilities do not represent much of the Australian workforce.
A college recently heard a radio interview between Rebecca Price and Jodie Owen, the old Jo Blogs, about her struggle with gaining employment in her new place of residence.

The truth is that most people still judge you by your appearance and that being in a wheelchair brings up barriers for people. They may be thinking that people in wheelchairs are not that intelligent and it is too hard to get a wheelchair working in the office.
Every now and then the nice surprise of encountering an Employer who does not judge a person in a wheelchair gives us hope. Last I heard was that Jodie Owen is working at Vodaphone.
