Focus on Ability Awards Night
22 Oct 2012:
On Thursday night I attended the Focus on Ability Awards evening and what an extravaganza it was. There was a red carpet and a celebrity photo spot.
When I got there the place was abuzz with people dressed in their best and anticipation was high to see who would be the winners of the 4th ‘focus on ability' short film competition. The canapés and drinks were a plenty.
As we milled into the cinema for the awards we were handed water, ice creams and popcorn to nibble on through the awards presentation and films viewing.
The awards were hosted by the very beautiful, Katrina Webb, the Special Olympic Dancers gave us two beautiful performances and Leo Sayer finished off the night with ‘You Make me Feel like Dancing' going off and everyone getting up and dancing.

After the awards the wait staff in the foyer were ready to hand us boxes of beef noodles or pasta and more drinks. More celebrating, mingling and congratulating was had before I headed home with a smile on my face having witnessed some great films and happy winners. There is soooo much Ability out there despite our challenges.
