Disabled Sex Symbol Amy Conachan
14 Apr 2014:
I have come across a story where a student of the Royal Conservatoire Scotland, who is in her second year of a BA in Acting and Performance has made an impact in the Scottish Theatre with roles that are not generally given to students.
Yet, Amy Conachan, who is 23 and has a disability is in a leading role with many more to come.
While Amy's role is challenging as there are sex scenes on stage, Amy also confronts the issue of sex with a disability. How her onstage partner reacts as well as the audience reaction are both heavy issues to deal with.
Amy is amazing as she sees the play as an opportunity to perform and also hopes to get roles that do not focus on her disability.
Amy is the first disabled student to be doing a BA in Acting and Performance at the Royal Conservatoire Scotland.
What an achievement to be getting these roles as a student!
Go Amy!
