Can-Do-Ability: Answers and Solutions from my personal experiences of living with a disability

Dean Zimmer is a musical drummer

10 Sep 2013Dean answered a ‘rock drummer wanted' ad and really impressed them with his abilities and got the job!

When you first see Dean you may think that he looks like a man who has had a hard life. I guess his determination to get things done one way or another and not just let people do things for him has made his life harder but so much more rewarding.

This guy must have loads of energy, not only to push himself around in his wheelchair as he does, but also the way he crawls around, carries and sets up his drum kit. How he has any energy left to play the drums is beyond me. And play the drums he does! He can play the tightest pattern on the drum head ever seen – which is quiet impressive!
