Can-Do-Ability: Answers and Solutions from my personal experiences of living with a disability

Cheerleading on One Leg

25 Nov 2013A piece on ‘The Project' shows how big cheerleading has become as well as showing this amazing girl, Roya Abdolhosini, of the Vipers, who was born with one leg doing her thing. She does everything all the other cheerleaders do on one leg – jumps, twists, turns, acrobatics,...

Roya is truly amazing and the can do attitude she has as well as her team is such a joy to watch as this is inclusion at its highest. Where something needed to be adapted, the whole team took on the challenge and came up with a way.

I would also like to mention how well the piece was put together. The focus piece was about cheerleading, and Roya's story was intrinsically woven in. Done very tastefully.
