At Home Grants

14 Jul 2014: I recently found an ad for ‘young care at home grants' that is sponsored by GIO. If you are aged between 18 – 65 and have high care needs and could be at risk of having to live in a nursing home then you can apply for a grant of between $2000-$10000. How cool is that!

I have just looked at the application form and it is not asking for you to pull a tooth out. It only requires common sense information and two quotes.

I think I may apply for a grant myself as I cannot use keys to lock and unlock my front/back door and so I always need to know that someone is home when I return from work. By have automatic locks I can leave and return from home at any time I wish.

The grants also cover hoists, and other in home equipment you may need.
